The Podium: An Olympic Games Pop Up Bar by the Folks at Wayward

The 2018 Winter Olympics are in full swing. It’s a time to come together and root for those athletes that represent the different countries of the world. For the United States, a ton of those athletes hail from Colorado. People are glued to their televisions as they watch Shaun White win the gold in his final half pipe run for men’s snowboarding, Mikaela Shiffrin, also bringing home the gold in the Women’s Giant Slalom for alpine skiing and so many more feats of prowess on the ice and snow.

Are you one of the people who can’t take their eyes off of the action for fear of missing something but feeling a little lonely because your friends and family just don’t understand your passion for the Olympics? Well the folks at Wayward understand your pain. They have opened a pop-up cocktail bar right next door called The Podium and it has all of the Olympics you could ever want. There are six televisions broadcasting the Olympic Games so you’re sure not to miss any of the action. But they have so much more. There is air hockey and spin hockey games to alleviate any feelings of competitive nature. Feel like celebrating? They have the shot-ski where up to four people can take a shot off of an actual ski. The food program, created by chef Tim Kirk, is Korean inspired to celebrate the fact that the games are being held in PyeongChang this year. The bartenders are also busy slinging nine original cocktails that all have Olympic themes as well.

The Podium will be open through the end of the ParaOlympic Games which end March 18.
